Halloween 2009

Photos from our awesome Halloween party this year. The front was done as a cemetery complete with sound effects and spooky lighting. (I heard more than a few screams from the neighborhood kids.) My office was a mad scientist lab (no pictures :( ), the bathroom was a scene from Psycho, and the guest bedroom was "Mother's Room" or creepy doll room. It was a lot of fun!

Rothenburg

We took a bus tour out to Rothenburg. It's a Medieval town that survived the war and remains pretty close to it's origins. It's really nifty and the views are killer. We only got to spend 3 hours here but could have stayed and chilled for many more.

Harburg

We took a bus tour to Rothenburg and this was a stop along the way. The castle here is one of the few that is completely intact from the Middle Ages. It's privately owned so you have to tour with a group. This was part of our cheesy tourist day.

Munich

Photos from our trip to Munich. We loved Munich! We don't know a lick of German (except perhaps verboten and danka) so it was definitely a different experience than the other countries. We took an overnight train from Paris and arrived here early in the morning. We stayed at a quite nice hotel in the immigrant district and walked over to the main square everyday. We started out with a fun bike tour that stopped at the Chinese Beer Garden. This was our first place where Rick Steves didn't guide our way. So we really played it by ear and probably missed some stuff. But we did our best.
